Between the outdoor garden and the operations that are now up and running in the greenhouse, SEEDS, under the direction and expertise of Nette Lack, have come out with several tremendous harvests this month. These harvests were donated to  Women’s CentreThe Nelson Food CupboardOur Daily Bread, and Stepping Stones Emergency Shelter.

To plant, care for, harvest and distribute all of this wonderful produce takes a lot of time. SEEDS is a small non-profit with limited means to pay for people to do this work. Volunteering for SEEDS would be a fantastic way to contribute to local food production, education and sharing in our community.
We are always welcoming volunteers, let us know by email if you can help, or simply come down to the greenhouse ready to go!

  • Thursdays 9-12 this is planting, watering day
  • Saturdays 9-12 this is the everything else day!

Other volunteer opportunities are things like, event planning, workshops instruction, board membership, fundraising, membership outreach, presentations, marketing and promotions.
